What is a good gift for my god son, who is also my nephew?
I have both a Niece and a Nephew.
I have been buying my Niece the Silver Eagle proof coin from the U.S. Mint every year. I have been getting her other things too, like toys and such. But I really enjoy getting her the coin.
My Nephew is a new arrival and I was named his Godmother. I don't want to get him the same coin, yet I want to keep it in the same price range, about 40.00.
I would like the gift to be similar to the coin, something that comes out once a year and will hopefully appreciate in value.
If anyone out there has any ideas, please let me know.

Would coins be a good investment?
If I bought 2006 silver eagle proofs.
or if I bought 2006 gold eagle proofs?
Back in 1991 I bought $100 worth of non-proof silver dimes/half-dollars last week I sold them in the rich part of town. She gave me $100 for them 
So anyway would proof silver/gold coins be a good idea? Any help would be great..Thank you!
