2010 American Silver Eagles

By mid-2010, American Silver Eagles have surpassed the 11 million mark, setting a record for the first four months of the year. In April alone, figures topped out at 2,170,000. Although April 2010 sales are forecast to dip below last year's record setting numbers, interest remains incredibly strong with collecting and investor continuing to grow.

With the increased demand for American Silver Eagles, there has been a concurrent rise in interest for American Proof Silver Eagle Proof coins. Proof Silver Eagle coins are a collectible version of the silver bullion coin released by the United States Mint. In the past, Proof coins have sold out quickly soon after release, and with only a limited number of coins in production each year, that could happen again this year. Read more
