The Silver Eagle Proof from the United States Mint is the highly sought-after collectible edition of the American Silver Eagle Coin. When the program was first started in 1986, the Proof Eagle was introduced to the public, initially only made available in a 1-ounce edition that quickly became popular with both |numismatists and silver bullion investors alike.
