This 2020 dated proof coin hails from the 35th year of issue of the U. Mint's popular American Silver Eagle series. The coin's distinctive heraldic eagle reverse design is scheduled for replacement at some point in 2021. Mint has applied a product limit of 200,000 and the release is currently unavailable there. The 40.60 mm diameter Silver Eagle coin contains 1 Troy oz.

The coin features a proof finish with the San Francisco Mint's "S" Mint mark. The silver dollar is housed in the original Mint package.

Obverse: Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse as envisioned by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman for the 1916 Walking Liberty half dollar. The timeless design portrays Liberty draped in an American flag, walking towards the rising sun surrounded by the inscriptions "LIBERTY, " "2020" and IN GOD WE TRUST. Weinman's many architectural sculptures adorn buildings such as the U. Supreme Court and the Jefferson Memorial.

Reverse: The reverse features former U. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti's rendition of a heraldic eagle grasping arrows and an olive branch, with thirteen stars above.
