Obverse: The obverse features a right facing image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with the Royal Diamond Diadem nestled in her locks. Inscribed "ELIZABETH II, " "AUSTRALIA" and 1 DOLLAR. This lifelike rendition of the longest reigning female monarch in world history was designed by award-winning British sculptor Jody Clark in 2015.
