Her name, "LIBERTY, " is inscribed above, and the date, "2023, " and national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST, " also appear on this face. Adolph Weinman was an immigrant from Germany. A prolific sculptor, his work can still be seen in numerous places, especially in New York and Washington, DC.

Weinman's artist initials also appear on this face of the coin. Reverse: On the reverse, the national bird, an eagle, prepares to land with an oak branch in its talons. Encircling the design, which was created by Emily Damstra, along the rim are inscriptions of the name of the issuing country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, " the face value of the coin, "ONE DOLLAR, " and its metal content, 1 OZ. " The statutory motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM is included just inside the rim inscriptions.
