In 2021, the design and minting process encompassed a completely new reverse (tails) design featuring an eagle about to land, carrying an oak branch, as if building it's nest, while maintaining some of Adolph A. Weinman's original details, who designed the classic Walking Liberty. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, " "E PLURIBUS UNUM, " 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, " and "ONE DOLLAR.

The obverse (heads) design renders a closer version of Weinman's original vision, his traditional artist mark comprised a full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Inscriptions are "LIBERTY, " "IN GOD WE TRUST, " and 2023. To give the new coins an added level of security, they have also been updated with enhanced security features, including a reeded edge variation.

Collectors old and new, this stunning 2023 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin comes encapsulated and placed in an elegant black presentation box adorned with the United States Mint seal, with an outer sleeve incorporating an image of the design. The certificate of authenticity (COA) bears an image of the refreshed obverse design.
